                                            Summer Training Program

(STP) 2010

The Maple Grove Crimson Girls Hockey Summer Training Program is a hockey training program focusing on individual skill development, hockey-specific strength training and improving team skills. The Maple Grove STP program provides an opportunity for high school players to train together with fellow teammates and for youth players to work with and get to know the high school coaches.

ON-ICE

OFF-ICE/DRYLAND

On-ice instruction provided by the Crimson coaching staff will focus on individual skills including:

·   Power Skating

·   Over-Speed Skating

·   Shooting

·   Puck Handling

·   Passing

·   Small-Area Games

·   Hockey Sense & Creativity

Plyometrics/Dryland

·   Strength

·   Agility

·   Balance

·   Power

The Maple Grove STP program is open to high school and youth girls’ hockey players. Players will be placed into one of the following sessions based on the level played during the past season:

·         HIGH SCHOOL – All returning Crimson high school players

·         YOUTH – OMGHA U-14 and U-12 players

INSTRUCTORS:   ON-ICE instruction led by Crimson Head Coach Noelle Sutton and Crimson Assistant Coaches Lindsay Jacobs, Krista Johnson, Jake Kuchenmeister and Adam Sutton.

Specific dates and times are to be determined and will be available when they are finalized.
