High School Program

This program is designed for PRESENT and FUTURE girl hockey players at Maple Grove Senior High School.  Its purpose is to give girls the opportunity to train during the summer, improve their hockey skills and become familiar with the MGSH coaching staff/high school program.  This is NOT MANDATORY for girls who want to tryout for the Maple Grove Girls Hockey team.  It is only an opportunity to train in the summer with the Maple Grove Girls High School Hockey coaching staff.
Who can attend?

·        All returning players

·        All players who are considering trying out for the MGSH Girls Hockey Team

·        Any players who feel they are able to compete at the high school level

Youth Program
This program is designed for all YOUTH girl hockey players.  Its purpose is to give girls the opportunity to train during the summer, improve their hockey skills and become familiar with what is expected at higher levels of youth hockey and also what is expected at the high school level.
Who can attend?
·        All girls who play OMGHA hockey in the association
·     All girls who play 10U, 12U, 14U or with the boys teams

As the Maple Grove Crimson hockey program enters a new era, what a better way to start than with an off-season training program combining instruction, and some good old fashioned “pond hockey”? Along with a talented group of instructors for the STP sessions, we thought it might be nice to add some fun time for the girls to be creative, let them try new things. Some of the brightest coaches in hockey including Don Lucia, Willard Ikola, and others agree that what’s missing in the development of young players is the ability to just play a pickup game of hockey, “pond hockey”, or “shinny hockey” as some of us know it by. There’s no better time than this time of transition to bring back what’s been missing.

When: Monday, June 16 – July 31.  We will try to keep the same, or very similar times that had been scheduled previously.

Where: Maple Grove Community Center Ice sheet

Who: All girls youth hockey players.

Cost: $300 per skater. (Any excess funds will be used by the booster club to benefit the girls program!)

Next Step: Signify your interest in this program by emailing Todd Mayclin at todd@mayclindental.com. Time is of the essence. Please let us know either way what your interest is.
